USAG Brand History of the brand

The company was founded in Gemonio (VA) on April 1, 1926, through the initiative of Anselmo Quadrelli and Teresita Luraschi. From the very beginning, the production of hand tools took place in the "Ca' Rossa" on land provided by Quadrelli himself.

In 1930, following the departure of the founder, the company took the name "Utensileria Società Anonima Gemonio" (USAG). A decisive turning point came in 1937, when the company was acquired by Hermann Amos, a German-born entrepreneur from Aquileia who was living in Milan. He initiated the expansion of the production plant.

From 1947 to 1991, leadership passed to his son Giulio Amos, who oversaw USAG's growth during the Italian economic boom, driven by the production of highly reliable and high-quality tools.
